Day 01 - ARRIVE DELHI
North India Temple Tour will arrange for your pickup from the international airport. You will then be taken to your hotel in New Delhi. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a Day of local sightseeing. Visit the memorials of famous Indian leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Indira Gandhi. Also go to the beautiful Jama Masjid and Red Fort in old Delhi. Try out some delectable food in the by-lanes of Chandni Chowk. After a hectic Day of roaming around, stay and relax in the hotel for the night.
Day 02 - DELHI - AMRITSAR
Get ready to take a train to Amritsar the next morning. The Shatabdi Express lands you in Amritsar early in the afternoon. Once here, check-in at your hotel and proceed to the very famous Golden Temple. Built in 1579, this temple houses the holy book of Sikhs - the Guru Granth Sahib. In the evening, walk to the India-Pakistan Wagah Border and see the Change of Guard ceremony. Also pay your respects at the Jalianwala Bagh, the site of one of the biggest massacres in India's freedom struggle.
North India Temple Tour will be incomplete if you miss the evening Palki ceremony at the Golden Temple. Return to your hotel for rest of the night.
Day 03 - AMRITSAR - DELHI
In the morning, just roam around in Amritsar. Then, get ready to return to Delhi by train. Take the Shatabdi Express for Delhi and stay in your hotel for the leftover time of the Day.
Day 04 - DELHI - JAIPUR
Have a good, heavy breakfast because the next in line is a surface journey to Jaipur. Once in Jaipur, register yourself at the hotel and keep the evening free for yourself. Relax in your hotel room and prepare for a memorable Day in Jaipur ahead of you.
Day 05 - JAIPUR
Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan is your gateway to rustic India and its traditional being. In the morning visit to the Amber Fort and enjoy an elephant ride. A visit to the pavilion of mirrors, the Sheesh Mahal, is also a must. North India Temple Tour then takes you to Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and other forts and palaces in Jaipur. Shop for some intricate jewelery, available only in this part of the world. Footwear, bags and kurtis of Jaipur are the best bets. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06 - JAIPUR - MATHURA
Next morning, undertake a surface journey to Mathura. On arrival, check-in and proceed for a visit to the numerous temples of the nearby town of Vrindavan. Get back to Mathura in the evening, and rest in your hotel room for the night.
Day 07 - MATHURA- AGRA
Early next morning, North India Temple Tour entails a visit to the birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna in Mathura. After this, proceed to Agra by surface. Agra is the city of one of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Taj Mahal. Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal built this epitome of love. The all-marble Taj, considered to be the most beautiful monument on earth, looks incredible in the evenings. You cannot afford to miss the Agra Fort, built across River Yamuna. The tomb of emperor Akbar is also marvelous in terms of architecture. Spend the night in your hotel room.
Day 08 - AGRA - KHAJURAHO
Take a morning flight from Agra to Khajuraho. Check-in at your hotel and move to local tourist attractions. In the afternoon, unravel the mysticism of the temples in Khajuraho. Built in 950 AD, only 22 of the 85 original temples are still intact here. All these temples are marvels of architecture. Return to your hotel for the night.
Day 09 - KHAJURAHO - VARANASI
North India Temple Tour's itinerary now includes a journey to Varanasi. Take a morning flight from Khajuraho and register in your hotel after reaching Varanasi. In the afternoon, undertake an excursion to Sarnath. Lord Budhha preached his first sermon in the Deer Park here, about 2,500 years ago. A grand Dhamek Stupa signifies this site. The remains of the original Ashoka Pillar that has been adopted as the Indian emblem, stand here. There are a few other small and big stupas as well.
Day 10 - VARANASI
North India Temple Tour prepares you for a journey through Varanasi, the oldest living city of the world. A premier Hindu pilgrimage site, Varanasi is known for its holiness, the music of prayers, the temple gongs and the banks of the sacred River Ganges. This place is also well-known for its richness in Indian art and culture. In the evenings, you can do some shopping, and return to the hotel for the night.
Day 11 - VARANASI - DELHI
In the morning, you can again go to the banks of the Ganges for a dip in the holy waters. And, later in the Day, take a flight for Delhi. On arrival in the capital state of India, go to your hotel and relax for major part of the Day.
Day 12 - DELHI - ONWARD DESTINATION
North India Temple Tour now takes you for some local sightseeing in the metropolitan city of Delhi. Visit the India Gate that is dedicated to the memory of Indian freedom fighters. The Indian President's residence, the Rashtrapati Bhavan, looks awesome from here. Go around for some shopping in Connaught Place. Do not miss one of the tallest minarets of the world, the Qutab Minar. In the evening transfer to the international airport for a flight to your onward destination.
